Shark woman Dawn Schauman's story has been the subject of magazine feature articles, included in a PBS segment, and she has been a guest of television talk show hosts.
Dawn is a skilled lifeguard with a deep respect for the sea. When
she went for a swim while 6 1/2 months pregnant, she never expected
a Shark Attack!

Dawn's love of the outdoors and working out led to her becoming a full-time lifeguard at the age of twenty.
She especially enjoyed lifeguard competitions, which consist of a number of swimming, sprinting and running events. They were even better when she brought home the medals!
